Email files stay on your device
EML, MBOX, and Google Takeout zip files are read in your browser. They are not uploaded, stored, or sent to an API. The PDF is created locally and downloaded to your computer. Closing the tab discards the working copy.
Text-message databases stay on your device
iPhone sms.db, Mac Messages chat.db, Android SMS Backup XML, and an unencrypted backup's Manifest.db are read in your browser. They are not uploaded. The page reads only the message database from a backup folder, not the rest of the backup. Attachment files are named in the PDF and are not copied into it.
What the host can see
Loading this website is an ordinary web request. The host and the network can see the page address, IP address, and user agent. Those logs do not include your email, attachments, or PDFs, because that data never leaves the browser.
Accounts and payments
If you sign in, the site stores the account your OAuth provider returns (name, email, and a session). Google appears next to GitHub only when that provider is configured. If you subscribe, Creem processes the $9.90 yearly payment and this site stores the Pro entitlement. Checkout can run in Creem test mode, which does not create a real charge. Your mailbox is not part of that record.
Remote images
HTML messages often contain tracking pixels. This converter does not fetch remote images, so opening a message here does not notify the sender.
Your responsibility
Convert only mail you are allowed to use. The PDF is a reading copy with optional Bates numbers and a date stamp. It is not legal advice, and it is not a promise that a court, employer, or archive will accept the file. Outlook .pst and .msg files are not supported.
